In the United States we are fed to believe that WE can be the American dream - that in essence anybody who wants it bad enough achieves their very own American dream. There are so many success stories of ordinary people who have desired success and worked hard enough to establish themselves. As a natural optimist I will never give up hope that if we believe in something long and hard enough we can establish ourselves and be successful despite any limitations whether it be age, sex, disability, race, and/or socioeconomic background.

From the graduates who have spent years studying with the hopes that their sacrifice of investing in a college education will be rewarded to those who have worked the same job for decades just to be rewarded by being laid off.
